Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 June 2026
1. Agreement
By accessing or using evil.vote (evil.vote), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What this service is
evil.vote isa crowdsourced opinion poll. Rankings are produced by aggregating anonymous votes. Optional comments (“reasons”) and upvotes are user-generated. We do not present rankings or comments as verified facts or as our own editorial judgment.
3. Eligibility and voting
You may vote without creating an account. We use a signed cookie and browser fingerprint to limit voting to once per person per visitor. You may vote for many different people, but only once for each person. Do not attempt to manipulate rankings through duplicate devices, automation, bots, or other abuse.
4. Your conduct
You agree not to submit content or use the service to:
- Harass, threaten, or dox any person
- Publish content you know or reasonably should know is false and defamatory
- Incite violence or hatred against protected groups
- Violate any applicable law or third-party rights
- Disrupt or attack the service (spam, scraping at scale, etc.)
You are responsible for what you submit. Because voting is anonymous, you submit content at your own risk.
5. Moderation
We may remove content, delist people, block IP ranges or devices, or restrict access where we believe content is unlawful, abusive, or harmful to the service — with or without notice. We are not obliged to monitor all submissions.
6. Third-party content
Biographical text, images, and metadata may come from Wikipedia, Wikidata, and other third parties. We do not control or guarantee that material.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of evil.vote will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, reputation, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or from user-generated rankings and comments — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) £100 or (b) the amount you paid us to use the service in the twelve months before the claim (typically zero, as the service is free).
9. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of evil.vote from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service or your violation of these Terms.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
